Bicosome and the IQAC-CSIC together with other partners (Inserm-Francia, Universidad de Toulouse-Francia, Universidad de Estambul-Turquia, Universidad Charles-Republica Checa, Hospital del Niño Jesus-Madrid) collaborate in the projects LIPARCI1 and 2.
Title: Lipid replacement therapy for patients with congenital ichthyosis using topical acylceramide nanostructured delivery systems.
The main aim is to develop a treatment based on bicosome structures to transport a linoleic acid (LA) esterified with ω-hydroxyacyl sphingosine, named CerEOS and synthesized by a partner of LIPARCI1, to skin of pacients with ichthyosis, in which this Cer is deficient.
